• In the state of Ohio, it is illegal to purchase raw-milk at retailers or directly from farms. However, it IS legal to obtain raw-milk through cow-sharing programs such as ours at Providence Homestead.

  • You will pick-up your raw milk directly from our farm located at 10556 Five Points Road, Orrville, OH 44667

  • Those who completed their purchase (and completed the Herd Share Agreement)….

    • between Wednesday and Mondaywill be able to pick-up their first portion of raw-milk starting Tuesday evening at/after 6pm.

    • Tuesday before 12pm (noon)can pick-up their first portion of raw-milk starting the same day (Tuesday at/after 6pm)

    • after 12:01pm on Tuesday will be able to pick-up their first portion of milk starting the following Tuesday evening at/after 6pm.

    (each week pick-up will run from Tuesday at/after 6pm through Sunday evening)

    Questions/concerns regarding pick-up schedule should be discussed with Steven or Elyse at Providence Homestead via text, call, or email.

  • Currently, pick-up for raw-milk begins each week on Tuesday evening at 6pm. We recommend picking up all raw-milk within 3 days of bottling for maximum freshness (Friday evening). As detailed in our herd share agreement, you are able to pick up milk up to 5 days following bottling (Sunday evening).

  • You can park anywhere along the side of the barn or along the storage barn. Please see Visiting Our Farm for further detail.

  • It will be located in a white refrigerator in the milk house (small door). Please see “Visiting Our Farm” for further detail.

  • We are unable to directly sell our raw-milk. If you wish to purchase additional milk, you must purchase an additional share/boarding fee. You may sell-back your share at anytime. see below for details on our buy-back policy.

  • You may request Providence Homestead buy-back your share(s) at any time. However, you must submit your request at least 10 days in advance. Once approved, Providence Homestead will be in contact regarding the buy-back process.

  • We recommend keeping payments updated for weekly boarding fees. However, per our Herd Share Agreement (Agistment Agreement), in the event you are unable to pay boarding fees, you will receive a written notice to your email that your payment has been declined. From the time of the written notice, you will have 10 days to pay in full. If payment is not received in full within the allotted time, Providence Homestead reserves the right to take back your herd share(s) and keep partial or full amount paid for said herd share(s). Providence Homestead also reserves the right to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Steven and Elyse Machamer (owners of Providence Homestead LLC).
